Thank you to all who contributed to the Memorial Bench Fund. We have, at last, been allocated a place on Marine Parade, at the top of Saltburn Bank opposite the Anchor Garden. Festival patrons will be able to rest their weary bones on the way down to the Spa or catch their breath and take in the view when climbing up from the Spa to the town. Because we now have fifteen dear friends who have gone before us, we have decided to have two benches with plaques on each so that they do not look too cluttered.

A dedication service for both benches will take place at 9:00 am on the Saturday morning of the Festival (11^th August) officiated by representatives of the Emmanuel Church (Church of England), Catholic Church and Methodist Church. We hope that there will be lots of Folkies there, to join in some appropriate songs lead by the Wilson Family, Craig Morgan Robson and The Marske Fisherman’s Choir.
